If you read my previous article Flex 3 Released you’d know that I was lucky enough to win a free copy of Flex Builder 3 at the February CPAUG meeting. I’m not sure why, but Adobe chose to send a boxed version of Flex Builder to all of the winners rather than e-mailing them a key-code for a downloaded copy. Here’s a Flash game that I’ve been playing with, I call it “Eels to Urchins” for fairly obvious reasons. I still need to develop the levels a little further but it’s at a point where you can give it a try and tell me what you think.

This game turns the world around… and around and around. Spin the big black circle clockwise or counterclockwise to let gravity guide a ball to its goal. This simple and unique concept offers fun gameplay (to a point). Some mazes can be maddeningly frustrating and I would have liked this game much more if there was a way to save my position midway through a level. Restarting from the beginning after getting SO CLOSE was only fun the first 800 times.
