    @Ryan Libre, as promised: http://www.pixelwit.com/blog/2008/09/all-caps-was-my-only-choice/

To anyone else reading Ryan’s comment, I highly recommend reading the full story before worrying that my support for the Improved PageFlip might need improvement.

  2. […]Ryan is an ignoramus. As evidence of this matter I’ve included our e-mail correspondence in its entirety, not just select parts of it. […]

the page resizing tutorial didnt work, so i mailed. was told i had to resize the stage also, but its not covered in the tutorial so i asked how to resize the stage and got this reply

I GAVE YOU A LINK TO ADOBE, I CAN NOT FORCE YOU TO READ IT!

DO NOT WRITE ME AGAIN UNLESS IT’S TO APOLOGIZE OTHERWISE YOUR IGNORANCE WILL BE PUBLISHED ON THE FRONT PAGE OF MY BLOG FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE!

good price for the file, but the support could be better.

    Hi,
Everything looks great but I don’t know how to compile it to a swf file.
Do I need Adobe’s flash application or is there a cheaper/free way to do this?

    Thank you in advance.

@Himanshu, You can modify the simulated roll-over effect in the free Flash PageFlip by opening the Library, opening the Buttons folder and then editing the Corner Button. The top corners only work in the Improved PageFlip. And it’s not really designed to load external content.

    Hey Pixelwit

Hi man! This is great stuff! Seriously, it is evry organized and works great! I am myself very bad at coding but kind of better with animations. I was thinking if it was possible to get rid of a slight peel in both bottom corners of page which keeps indicating to turn it over? Also, can we have it work from top corners etc may be? Moreover, can you tell me a simple code to place preloaders on each page? I know I am asking for too much. But may be you can answer either of them and if you happen to be in great mood, all of them 😉 In any case, thanks a lot for this beautiful coding! I owe it to you, feel free to take my help at any point of time. May be, redesigning your website or your portfolio website. I am a graphic, web, flash designer!

    Good luck!
    And take care!!

@Jerome, The PageFlip is designed to hold all of your content inside 1 SWF file and like all other SWF files, it is loaded sequentially frame by frame. You could try writing code for each page to load external content but that might cause other problems.

  8. Jerome Chevreau says:

    Hi,

thanks for the page flip. looks great.
But is there a way of including preloaders on each page so they can be preloaded individually.

    Thank you,

    jerome

@Ran, you need to make sure the content in your print clip is is aligned to its center stage.

@ Kyle MacDonald, Create a new layer below the “Pages” layer and insert a blank keyframe at frame #8. Create a new fake first page on that frame to the left of the Pages movieclip.

  10. Kyle MacDonald says:

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way I can start the “Book” open, when the movie clip loads. I am trying to have the clip start with 2 images (open book) and have no left flip-button, as if it were the first page, is this possible???

Hi man, this is very powerfull stuff what you did here. Also the script is very orgenize and easy to understand whith your remarks.
One question: When I added 2 pages more, they been placed in the bottom corner, outside of the pages width and height. Why?

    Thanks a lot, ran

  12. drew says:

    Hey Pixelwit,

Everything’s working great except when I roll over a corner button, the current page mc resets to the initial state. If I put animation on the page, it jumps on rollover. Does the preloader version fix this issue?

    –Edit–
(I would use the hard cover feature 😉

Thanks so much for your contributions to those of us who are less knowledgeable in AS!

    sorry to trouble u..

  14. Pixelwit says:

@The Famous Unknown, I’ve considered adding a hardcover feature to the Improved PageFlip but I don’t actually get too many requests for it and I like keeping the file size nice and light.

  15. Hi,

Thank you so much for making pageflip code available!

After playing around in the free version I felt confortable to upgraid. So I purchased your improved PageFlip.

I made an online portfolio and it works great. I am still very bussy fine tuning it.

When will you bring out a newer version with a hardcover and the ability to tear pages off? I know there are plenty of people out there who want this too. It would also be nice to have a script for a note pad where you can tear the pages off.

If its not much to ask can you please let me know how to make the cover hard or at least make a tutorial for us?

    Keep up the good work.

    Steve
