Input Devices
How do you best interact with your computer? Do you shun your keyboard like me? Are you a designer who’d do anything rather than give up your drawing tablet? Are you a keyboard master, able to reach the most absurd of shortcut key combinations? Do you talk to your computer?

@Zachary, since you seem interested in other poll results, I thought I’d point out that the “Keyboard” category in this poll seems to have experienced a recent increase as the poll has dropped further down on the front page. Maybe keyboard pros are more in-depth readers as well. Just an off-the-cuff observation that’s probably wrong. 😀
Hey Zachary, I’m with you on the “BrainMouse” thing. Eye tracking combined with voice recognition and some sort of click device is probably the best we can do for now. I wonder why that hasn’t happened yet.
Since I have some sort of RSS/carpal tunnel problems I hate all input devices. When someone invents the brain mouse I’ll be happy. For now I am mostly using the 3M Renaissance mouse, which pivots on the elbow and not the wrist. It is slower and less precise, but doesn’t numb my fingers!
I still revert to a regular mouse to do precise Photoshop work. I have also found that I can mouse with my left hand for most tasks. Dragon Naturally speaking helps reduce the amount of typing I have to do, but is a pain since I have to go back to make corrections and add punctuation.
Good luck with your computer career, cause mine is a “pain!” I’ll let you know how the brain mouse works as soon as someone invents one!
